What to Expect
Welcome! Whatever religions you have known, whatever your heritage or culture: you are welcome here. Whoever you are, whomever you love, whatever body you live in: you are welcome here!
We’re glad you’re interested in visiting our UU Fellowship. We meet each Sundays, September through May, at 10 AM. We are family friendly, so we have child care and Religious Education available for children K through grade 7. We follow safe protocols: depending on the level of community spread, we follow the recommended mask policy (we always have them available), and we advise appropriate social distancing.
Here’s a little about what to expect: When you enter the hallway from the Broadway entrance or by way of accessibility parking, you’ll be welcomed by a Greeter. You’ll be asked to wear a name tag, sign our guest book, and be invited to add your email so we can send you announcements and our monthly newsletter. The Greeter will then show you into the Guild Hall where we gather and give you a hymnal and Order of Service. Near the beginning of the service, the Greeter will introduce you or you may introduce yourself.
We are a lay-led congregation, meaning we do not have our own minister. Our services are led by one of our Fellowship’s Members or Friends or by a visiting speaker or minister. Our services typically include hymns/songs, readings, a children’s story, musicians (pianist and band or choir), and a silent meditation. We always include a time to share joys and concerns. Our services vary, so do come more than a couple of times to get a full idea of who and what we are. Our web site lists details for each Sunday service on our HOME page.
